WuFenPu maps
Wufenpu Shopping Area
The map is a part of Taipei Tourist Map, version Dec. 2007, which is provided by Department of Information and Tourism, Taipei City Government. Besides Wufenpu, this version of Taipei Tourist Map contains the information of 7 other shopping areas, including Taipei Station, XinYi, TianMu, ShiLin, ZhongXiao E. Rd., Ximending and Wanhua. If you like bargains and shopping, you must need it.

Where's MRT Station
The map shows where's the closest MRT station, Houshanpi, and it's extracted from the Route Map provided by Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation. Check the original map here.

How to go to WuFenPu and the opening times
Traffic
Clue 1: It's in Taipei
Wufenpu locates at Taipei, Taiwan, as you know. Since Taipei is not that unfamed, we just assume you know how to get to Taipei already.
Clue 2: It's close to MRT Houshanpi Station
You can take a MRT train to Houshanpi Station. You can leave the station by Exit 1 and walk north along Jhongpo N. Rd. to the intersection of Jhongpo N. Rd. and Yongji Rd.. Congradulation! Wufenpu is on the left and front.
Clue 3: It's by Songshan railway station
Take a train to Songshan station. It's one of the most important statitions in Taiwan, so every trains will stop here on the way. Leave the station by the south exit facing to Songlong Rd.. Well done! It's on the left and front again.
Clue 4: TGIBIS - Thanks god, it's a bus information system
We don't know which routes are convenient for you, however, Taipei city government has done a good job. You can check the bus information at Taipei bus and transportation information system: http://www.taipeibus.taipei.gov.tw/index_e.htm
Clue 5: Always another way
Don't forget you can always take a taxi!
Opening Times
A few things about the opening times in WuFenPu which you should know before you come to visit it.
1. Wufenpu is open for 7 days a week.
2. They don't have identical opening times, but mostly start business at around noon and close after mid-night.
3. They are available on Sunday but maybe close earlier after PM 9:00.
4. Monday is reserved for wholesalers, even though you still can go, but may not get services as good as usual.

New Development in WuFenPu
WuFenPu and Raohe st. night market merging together
WuFenPu and Raohe st. night market was merging together into a bigger commercial zone after 21st Sep, 2008. These two areas were separated by Songshan train station and railway. However, after ten years of construction, so called Nangang project, the railway between Songshan and Sike station went underground on 21st Sep., and the barrier between WuFenPu and Raohe st. night market will be removed.
WuFenPu is the most important garment marketplace in Taiwan and Raohe st. is one of the most famous night market in Taipei. As the center of the new commercial zone, Songshan train station will receive an investment with 2.8 billion NT via BOT and be developed to a multi-functional building and parking tower.

Because of lacking proper audience for an independent English Wufenpu and Taiwan fashion community, we decided to close Wufenpu.com and assigned the domain name to a new shopping mall project. We believe the information provided in this page is enough for regular tourists or vendors to start enjoying the place, other major shopping place in Taiwan and Taiwan fashion. However, if you need more information about doing business with us or having a store in the charming zone, it's always welcome to contact us.
WuFenPu currently has around 1,000 stores and is estimated to have more than 40 billion NT$ in value of output per year. To have a store here, first you have to find a space in the market overt. There's no governmental body or society organization to regulate the supply of shops. Generally it's going to cost you NT$50,000~200,000 per month for renting a shop depending on the size and location, and a deposit for 2-3 month rent. In some cases, you have to pay extra NT$300,000~700,000 for premium to take over the right from the current tenant. Welcome to take a visit if you are interested in having a shop here. |
